Offices and Bottling Plants
The Coca-Cola Company uses energy and contributes to emissions through
energy consumption at our offices and bottling plants. In our bottling
plants around the world, we are investing to improve our energy efficiency.
Fossil fuels provide the bulk of our energy, but we are investigating
and supporting market development for renewable power. We also have
developed an Energy-Efficiency Guidance Manual that includes best
practices which can improve energy efficiency in our operations by
more than 10%, and prevent about 500,000 metric tons per year of greenhouse
gas emissions.
